Do you have any good short stories that you would recommend?

I have to find a good short story for a writing cl I'm taking. So far I've read some of Edgar Allen Poe and I got a book entitled "The Best American Short Stories" which includes various authors. But so far I haven't really read anything that really jumps out at me. (Although, I must admit, I really enjoyed the Tell Tale Heart) I'm looking for something perhaps Victorian-era setting or something else historical. I searched the internet, but again, nothing really jumped out at me. Do you have any really good short stories you would recommend?
