Is there an easy way of determining whether a compound will react or not with an acid?

Is there an easy way of determining whether a compound will react or not with an acid, apart from looking at the electromotive metal series charts or just testing it? I would like to be able to figure out for example which types of plastic polymers you can put HCL, HNO3, or H2SO4 in without them dissolving the container and things of nature. Thanks!
